Miami, Fla. – April 19, 2016 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that Leslie Zigel, Chair of the firm’s Entertainment Law practice group in Miami, served as a keynote speaker at eMerge Americas and the firm served as a presenting sponsor of the event.

eMerge Americas is a two-day technology conference in Miami, connecting innovators, investors and thought leaders through summits and workshops. It is a platform for the advancement of technology, a forum for idea exchange, and a launch pad for innovation connecting Latin America, North America and Europe. With the clear mission of establishing Miami as the tech hub of the Americas, eMerge has made its mark on the technology scene of Miami. At eMerge Americas, attendees can explore how key technologies and trends are driving innovation across the industry sectors-Innovate, Mega, Health, EdTech, Finance and Country Pavilions.

Zigel spoke on the panel entitled, “Innovative Technologies Disrupting Digital Music.” Leslie was joined by Willard Ahdritz, Founder & CEO of Kobalt Music Publishing, to discuss the advancements in new technologies that are changing the economic landscape of the music industry. Those in attendance learned how artists and songwriters leverage the efficiencies delivered by these new innovations. Other notable keynote speakers at this conference included General Colin Powell, former United States Secretary of State; Mayor Carlos A. Giminez, Mayor of Miami-Dade County; Pitbull, recording artist; Marc Randolph, Co-Founder of Netflix; and eMerge Founder, Manuel Medina.

Leslie José Zigel is a shareholder and Chair of Greenspoon Marder’s Entertainment Practice.
