Michael Marron is senior counsel with the Litigation practice group at Greenspoon Marder LLP. He concentrates his practice on general commercial, civil and complex business matters in state and federal courts in New York. Mr. Marron also has experience representing clients in contract-related disputes, mediations, and administrative hearings.
Prior to joining Greenspoon Marder, Mr. Marron worked as an attorney for a boutique litigation law firm in New York, handling high-level litigation matters including complex motions and appeals. He also worked for a top Am Law international firm representing clients in financial services and complex business litigation matters, including shareholder derivative and securities suits, RICO claims, fraud and business torts, commercial breach of contract claims, disputes concerning antitrust and competition law, and class actions. Furthermore, Mr. Marron has substantial experience advising and representing clients concerning the operations of New York governmental agencies and municipalities. He also has advised and represented several of the largest Silicon Valley tech companies in matters ranging from proposed government regulation to state court litigation.
Mr. Marron has conducted and managed investigations in response to regulatory and government inquiries regarding accounting fraud, commodities manipulation, securities fraud, data privacy, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Mr. Marron earned his Juris Doctorate from Columbia University, where he was a Managing Editor of the Columbia Law Review, a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a judicial extern to the Honorable Denny Chin of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He also received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Certificate in Finance from Princeton University.
Prior to becoming a skilled business attorney, Mr. Marron worked as an Analyst for Cogent Partners, an investment bank and advisory firm dedicated to serving clients in the private equity secondary market.
