William J. Edgar is a partner in the Litigation practice group at Greenspoon Marder. His experience has primarily focused on civil litigation with an emphasis on business, landlord tenant disputes and toxic tort/mold cases, as well as professional and general liability cases. He has also litigated real estate disputes, construction defect claims, breach of contract cases, personal injury cases and employment matters, including workplace violence restraining orders. Mr. Edgar has represented clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses and individuals at trial, arbitration and mediation. His broad range of litigation experience allows him to serve clients in multiple areas of law.
Mr. Edgar graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz and earned his law degree at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Mr. Edgar worked for a public defender in California while in law school, defending individuals charged with a variety of misdemeanors. During law school he also served on the Student Bar Association and had the distinguished honor of being elected by his classmates as the class graduation commencement speaker.
For eight years prior to law school, Mr. Edgar worked in executive and technology recruiting in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. This experience has served him well in representing and advocating for his clients in legal matters.
