Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – June 19, 2014 – Greenspoon Marder Law’s Cypress Creek office welcomes associate Geoffrey Pette to its Banking & Finance Litigation department.
Mr. Pette concentrates his practice in the area of consumer financial services litigation, where he has represented major lending institutions, banks and other consumer finance companies in litigation involving the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, title litigation and various real estate matters. Additionally, Mr. Pette has successfully handled numerous appellate cases.
Admitted to The Florida Bar, Mr. Pette holds court admissions for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Tax Section and Real Property, Trusts & Estates Law Section. Mr. Pette earned his Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law and his Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida. Mr. Pette grew up in Clearwater, Florida.
