GREENSPOON MARDER EXPANDS IMMIGRATION & NATURALIZATION PRACTICE GROUP WITH THE ADDITION OF ATTORNEYS IN NEW JERSEY

Iselin, NJ – January 8, 2018 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce the expansion of the firm’s Immigration & Naturalization practice group with the addition of three new attorneys in New Jersey: Partner Nandini P. Nair, Senior Associate Arti K. Desai, and Associate Michael Bergman.

The firm’s Immigration and Naturalization practice consists of seasoned immigration attorneys with a vast and diverse array of experience in the immigration arena. Clients include Fortune 500 companies, startups, individual investors, universities, city and state agencies or high net individuals that operate nationally or globally and are seeking foreign talent. The Greenspoon Marder team advises clients on US visas and permanent residence, provides global immigration services for movement of employees to and between countries worldwide, and counsels on immigration compliance. Additionally, the firm advises on temporary work visas, employment based green cards, Extraordinary Ability applications or family and investment visas.

Partner Nandini P. Nair focuses her practice on the strategic analysis and processing of U.S. nonimmigrant visas, employment-based and family-based green card applications, audits and compliance and other immigration benefits. Ms. Nair also advises on complex immigration strategy and corporate policy development, movement of global talent, training and compliance, immigration consequences of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate changes. Her personal experience of emigrating from India to the United States and her belief in the essential role immigrants play and the positive contributions they make to American society fuel her passion for immigration law. She is co-chair and member of various immigration related committees and speaks frequently at various events on immigration-related topics.

Senior Associate Arti Desai specializes in immigration and nationality law. Ms. Desai represents business and corporate clients in all matters of employment-based immigration. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association where she has co-chaired several chapter committees, including Department of Labor and New Member Division. Ms. Desai recently spoke at the AILA National Conference on the fundamentals of the labor certification process for immigrant visa. She has also lectured on corporate immigration related issues at AILA NY conferences/meetings. Ms. Desai earned her J.D. from New York Law School in 2008.

Associate Michael Bergman focuses his practice on U.S. immigration and nationality law. He began working in the field of immigration law while working as a law clerk at a New York City immigration law firm. Mr. Bergman is admitted in the New York Appellate Division, First Department; and New Jersey Supreme Court. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in 2010 and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2013.
