Greenspoon Marder is excited to announce the Firm’s expansion into the Tampa legal market and the opening of their office in the Wells Fargo Center in Downtown Tampa.
Robin S. Trupp , who was most recently a Partner with Arnstein & Lehr LLP’s Tampa and West Palm Beach offices, joins Greenspoon Marder’s new office as a Shareholder of the firm and will continue his practice in the areas of Appellate, Bankruptcy and Collection Creditor Rights, Equine Law and Litigation. Trupp brings with him Arnstein & Lehr Attorney Brian R. Cummings . Both Robin and Brian will practice in Greenspoon Marder’s Tampa and West Palm Beach offices. Trupp has thirty years’ experience in the courtroom as a civil trial attorney and litigator, trying major cases in state and federal courts. Cummings has more than seven years of experience in a wide variety of commercial litigation, handling cases from inception through trial and at the appellee level.
“This is a wonderful opportunity because Greenspoon Marder is such a well-known name with offices throughout Florida, including now in Tampa,” stated Trupp. “They also have a very good footprint in the West Palm Beach area to accommodate my clients.”
Trupp is a superbly accomplished attorney who brings with him an extensive background in the equestrian community. Joining Greenspoon Marder’s well-known equestrian practice, he looks forward to expanding his equestrian law practice.
Trupp has overseen the transfer and ownership of horses, as well as set up entities for multiple owner syndications. Trupp also counsels in sales disputes and administrative hearings regarding rules and violations, and has handled innumerable civil actions involving equestrian ownership disputes, breach of sales contract cases, and veterinarian malpractice.
Trupp was an accomplished rider for many years, competing at the American Gold Cup and the American Invitational. He was a candidate for the Pan American Games before pursuing a career in law. Trupp received his MBA/JD from Tulane University and passed the bar in 1981. When he returned to Florida as a litigation attorney, his son Austin began riding, having his own success from the pony ring to the Open Jumpers.
Over the years Trupp has represented clients in front of the AHSA and USEF Boards for infractions. He has also represented veterinarians, horse show managers, buyers, sellers, and riders who have been injured.
“Thanks to this new opportunity, I will be able to attend the horse shows on a regular basis and interact directly with my clients,” explained Trupp. “At Greenspoon Marder we will be able to address all the needs of the equine world. We plan on being available throughout the season in Florida, as well as throughout the year.”
Cummings has extensive experience litigating in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters and civil disputes, and has also handled multiple appellate cases. Cummings graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law, where he also served as Articles and Symposia Editor of the Stetson Law Review.
“I am looking forward to this new opportunity, which will allow me to broaden my practice area and serve a broader array of clients,” noted Cummings. “I look forward to continuing to work with Robin Trupp, taking cases from conception to trial, and expanding my own equine practice.”
