Greenspoon Marder Law’s Scott Wellikoff Appointed to Board of Directors for the Adolph and Rose Levis Jewish Community Center

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – May 27, 2014 – Scott Wellikoff, an associate in the Litigation department at Greenspoon Marder Law’s Downtown Ft. Lauderdale office, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Adolph and Rose Levis Jewish Community Center.

Through this appointment, Scott will ensure that JCC programs, events and committees align with the organization’s overall goals and policies. Closely collaborating with the Jewish Federation, the Board will work to enhance the quality of life for local Jewish communities.

Scott is part of the firm’s complex litigation and class action defense practice groups and assists various types of clients with litigation involving contract disputes, labor and employment and regulated industries, including healthcare, debt settlement and business to consumer marketing. He has additional experience defending professionals, including attorneys, accountants, architects and engineers, directors and officers, brokers-dealers, insurance agents, fiduciaries, real estate agents and title agents. He has prosecuted and defended first party and third party coverage matters, including rescission issues. In addition, Scott has monitored complex matters for excess insurance carriers, provided insurance coverage opinions, and when required, pursued actions for declaratory relief.

Scott is a 2001 graduate of the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science from the College of Journalism and Communications. In 2004 he earned his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law where he was a Notes and Comments Editor for St. John’s Journal of Legal Commentary. He is admitted to the Bar of Florida, New York and New Jersey.
