West Palm Beach, Fl. – September 28, 2015 – Greenspoon Marder attorney Steven Fender will serve as a panelist at the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Business Law Section CLE program on September 28 at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach. The event will be sponsored by the Business Bankruptcy Committee and the 2015 National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges.
The panel, titled “The Erosion of Defenses in Fraudulent Transfer Litigation,” will focus on recent developments relating to fraudulent transfer law, the 2014 Uniform Voidable Transactions Act, and Ponzi scheme cases. The individual panel will be co-sponsored by the Business Bankruptcy Committee and the Consumer Bankruptcy Committee.
Fender focuses his practice on bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters, in both state and federal courts. He has represented clients across the United States in a variety of employment disputes, shareholder negotiations and disputes, contract claims, unfair competition litigation, intellectual property, business tort and contract matters.
Fender currently serves as Vice Chair of the Consumer Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association. He is rated AV Preeminent by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and was named one of South Florida’s Top Rated Lawyers (2012) by American Lawyer Media. Fender earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts,
magna cum laude, from Duke University.
