Greenspoon Marder Partner Murray B. Silverstein Appointed to the Supreme Court’s Commission on Professionalism and Civility

Tampa, FL – May 31, 2018 – Greenspoon Marder is proud to announce partner, Murray B. Silverstein, has been appointed to the Supreme Court’s Commission on Professionalism and Civility by The Florida Bar. The Commission is committed to promoting the fundamental ideals and values of the justice system within the legal system, and to instilling those ideals of character, civility, competence, and commitment to all those persons serving therein. To put these ideals into action, it serves as creator and implementer of programs and seminars aimed at promoting professionalism in both the judicial system and law schools. Additionally, the Commission is responsible for establishing the policies of the bar’s Center and its governing board.

Mr. Silverstein has over 36 years of experience in complex commercial, business, and real estate litigation, as well as appeals, throughout the federal and state courts of Florida. He is a regular advocate for the rights of indigents needing access to the courts through extended pro bono representation, and through his service as a board member on the Florida Bar Foundation. In addition, Mr. Silverstein previously served as an 8-year member of The Florida Bar Board of Governors, and continues his service to the bar though active rule committee membership and related participation.
