Greenspoon Marder Partner Robert Rando Elected To Serve As President Elect of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association

New York, N.Y. – June 23, 2022 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that partner Robert Rando has been elected to serve as President Elect of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA), where he began a one-year term in May 2022.

As President Elect, Mr. Rando will focus on addressing numerous intellectual property issues, work alongside the organization’s current President and active committees that cover all aspects of intellectual property law and practice, and will assist in organizing the NYIPLA’s President’s Forum events.

Founded in 1922, the NYIPLA is a leading organization for U.S. lawyers interested in intellectual property law. In addition to educating the public and practitioners and advocating for intellectual property interests, the NYIPLA works with foreign associations to harmonize international conventions for the protection of intellectual property.

Mr. Rando practices in the areas of complex commercial, patent and other IP litigation. With over three decades of experience, he has handled a wide range of technology matters. He is a published author and frequent lecturer at law schools and other organizations. A skilled trial lawyer and legal scholar, he has filed Amicus briefs in most of the high-profile patent and other IP cases before the U.S. Supreme Court in the past 15 years. He has also served as a Special Master in numerous complex patent law cases. Previously, Mr. Rando served as NYIPLA’s First and Second Vice President and Treasurer, among various other roles with the organization.
