Fort Lauderdale, FL – May 19, 2020 – Greenspoon Marder senior counsel Shirley Palumbo will be a panelist for the “Restructuring and Insolvency Procedures in Spain and in the US” webinar hosted by the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce on May 26^th. Ms. Palumbo will provide an overview of the various bankruptcy alternatives of a debtor’s business affairs, debts and assets in the US. Founded in New York in 1959, the Spain–United States Chamber of Commerce has become one of the leading transatlantic business organizations fostering economic ties between the two countries.

Shirley Palumbo is a Bankruptcy and Insolvency senior counsel in the West Palm Beach, Florida office of Greenspoon Marder LLP. She has extensive experience in the areas of bankruptcy, debt restructuring, insolvency, creditor’s rights, foreclosures, mediation, dischargeability issues; and has represented individual debtors, corporate debtors, unsecured creditors, secured creditors, institutional lenders and trustees across the State of Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Ms. Palumbo is a member of the Florida bar and Puerto Rico (federal) bar and is admitted to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification and has been recognized with the Martindale Hubbell’s highest ranking in both legal ability and ethical standards. Ms. Palumbo holds a Master of Law Degree (LL.M.) in International Law from the University of Miami, as well as a Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree from St. Thomas University. She is a member of ABI, INSOL, and on a local level she is a member of the Southern District of Florida Bankruptcy Bar Association, and the Judicial Liaison of the Florida Bar’s Bankruptcy/UCC and Communications Committee.
