Greenspoon’s painful acquisition of dying firm
Jun 17, 2013
Daily Business Review, Special Report, June 17, 2013
Greenspoon Marder faced many obstacles throughout the process of acquiring Ruden McClosky, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Managing partner Gerry Greenspoon stated, “The main reason we went ahead with this combination was because of the talent we were able to bring in.” Despite differences in corporate culture and operational systems, both firms have adjusted to the merger. “We reached all of the goals that we had anticipated. Everyone has been fully integrated. We are functioning seamlessly as one firm at this point,” said Greenspoon.
