Jason Farber is senior counsel in Greenspoon Marder LLP’s Tax and Wills, Trust and Estates practice groups, where he specializes in comprehensive federal and state taxation matters as well as general and advanced estate planning.
Mr. Farber advises clients ranging from for-profit and non-profit entities to individuals, providing strategic counsel on the full spectrum of business operations, from initial formation and governance to complex dissolutions. His extensive background includes navigating the intricacies of California property tax issues and 1031 exchanges, ensuring his clients’ real estate and business assets are structured for maximum tax efficiency. Additionally, he provides specialized guidance on the establishment and representation of tax-exempt organizations, associations, and business leagues, as well as the sophisticated tax implications of charitable contributions.
In his private wealth practice, Mr. Farber advises clients on both traditional and advanced estate planning strategies. His experience ranges from the preparation of foundational documents, such as living trusts, wills, and healthcare directives, to the implementation of complex structures, including charitable trusts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (ILIT), and inter-family sales of businesses and real estate.
