FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (Thursday, July 22, 2010) – Evan B. Klinek, Esq., litigation attorney at Greenspoon Marder, P.A., has been appointed by the Supreme Court of Florida, pursuant to an Administrative Order, as Chair of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee.
Klinek will serve as Chairperson for the committee, which serves as the “fact-finder” in Unlicensed Practice of Law investigations and is responsible for making recommendations regarding litigation for UPL complaints. The committee also serves to assist with the protection of the public against harm caused by unlicensed individuals practicing law. As Chair, Klinek’s responsibilities are to administer and oversee the committee’s business, preside at meetings, and act as committee spokesperson.

Klinek is an associate in the Ft. Lauderdale office of Greenspoon Marder, P.A., and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998. He graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. His main areas of practice include commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation, creditor’s rights, foreclosure litigation, and complex litigation. Mr. Klinek is a member of the Florida Bar, Broward County Bar Association and the Bankruptcy Bar Association of South Florida, and is an “AV” rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.
