FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Mon., Oct. 25, 2010) – Greenspoon Marder, a full-service business law firm, is once again expanding its practice areas with the hiring of seven new attorneys. It’s the fourth such announcement the firm has made since December of 2008. In that time, Greenspoon Marder has experienced substantial growth, by placing a greater emphasis on practice areas that are considered counter-cyclical to the economy. In this latest expansion, the firm bolstered its foreclosure, litigation, labor and employment, first-party property insurance and personal injury groups.
Tennille Shipwash joins the firm’s growing foreclosure and default services department, also concentrating her practice in the areas of bankruptcy and real estate law. Prior to joining Greenspoon Marder, Shipwash was a Senior Associate at a Fort Lauderdale law firm that specialized in Community Association Law.
David Merkur also joins the firm’s foreclosure and default services department, concentrating his practice in real property transactions and foreclosure litigation. Merkur began his legal career representing major lending institutions throughout the state of Florida and is well versed in foreclosure procedure, from the initial complaint to the sale.
New Greenspoon Marder attorneys Jonathan C. Brown, Brandon J. Hill, and Meredith H. Leonard further bolster the firm’s litigation team. Brown concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and civil litigation and labor and employment litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he assisted in the management of an Atlanta firm.
Meantime, Leonard also concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, after earning a finance degree followed by her Juris Doctor. Hill focuses his practice in labor and employment litigation. He has been recognized for his work in legal research and writing, appellate advocacy, and international human rights.
Neil M. Khan joins the First-Party Property Insurance and Bad Faith group. Khan has served as a state attorney in Miami and has represented numerous insurance companies. Khan now represents consumers in disputes against insurance companies.
