FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Oct. 28, 2009) – Two senior partners at Greenspoon Marder, P.A. have been named in the annual Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel edition – a coveted position gained through a multi-step peer review system. William Berger and Maurice Garcia are named for their professional achievements in the business litigation category. Attorneys are chosen based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Berger joined Greenspoon Marder as a senior partner in 1995. He co-chairs the firm’s litigation department and is instrumental in the firm’s marketing and business development efforts. Berger is also active in the South Florida business community, contributing his time and expertise to a number of chambers and economic development organizations in the tri-county area. In August 2007, Gov. Charlie Crist appointed Berger as a Trustee of the Palm Beach Community College.
Garcia has been engaged exclusively in trial practice since 1971, having primary responsibility for complex civil litigation of a wide-ranging nature and also in appellate arguments in both state and federal courts. Garcia has served as a member of The Florida Bar Committee on the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and has written articles for and spoken at Continuing Legal Education Seminars sponsored by The Florida Bar.
