West Palm Beach, Fla., Aug. 5, 2009- The law firm of Greenspoon Marder announced that Morris G. “Skip” Miller has been re-elected Chairman of The Housing Leadership Council of Palm Beach County Inc. (HLC) for the term 2009 to 2010. Mr. Miller is Of Counsel in the firm’s Banking & Finance and newly formed Utilities & Energy Practice Groups. He is resident at the firm’s West Palm Beach office, located at 222 Lakeview Ave., Suite 800.
As Chairman of the HLC, Miller will continue to lead the action-oriented coalition of businesses, civic and community leaders working to identify solutions, and funding options to the workforce housing shortage in Palm Beach County. The HLC’s primary goal is to increase the availability of workforce housing throughout Palm Beach County for workers at all income levels.
A Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney, Miller focuses on public finance and representation of non-profit entities. He has extensive experience in municipal finance transactions of all types, including taxable bonds, bond issues for non-profit organizations, mini bonds, community redevelopment financing, special taxing districts and single-and multi-family housing revenue bonds.
Miller is a member of The Florida Bar, City, County & Local Government Law Section; Palm Beach County Bar Association; National Association of Bond Lawyers; and the North Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce. He also is the Immediate Past Chair of Loggerhead Marinelife Center of Juno Beach and is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach Gardens.
