ELIZABETH TENER OF GREENSPOON MARDER AUTHORS CHAPTER OF THE FLORIDA BAR’S “DRAFTING MARRIAGE CONTRACTS IN FLORIDA” BOOK
Orlando, FL – August 15, 2017 – Greenspoon Marder shareholder Elizabeth Tener recently authored Chapter One “Overview” of The Florida Bar’s Drafting Marriage Contracts in Florida. The book guides practitioners through the potential minefield of marriage contracts with chapters discussing general standards for drafting and review, drafting and defending a premarital agreement, what to include in, and how not to arrive at, a marital settlement agreement, among a variety of other topics.
The Eleventh Edition, published by the Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education, highlights new discussions regarding same-sex marriages, property rights in premarital agreements, and Affordable Care Act and Premium Tax credit.
Ms. Tener focuses her practice on handling a wide range of marital and family law matters, including: traditional and collaborative divorce; LGBT same-sex marital and family issues; alimony; child custody; child support; valuation of marital assets; pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements; relocation; modification; enforcement; paternity; step-parent adoption and domestic violence. She was appointed and currently serves on the Florida Bar’s Family Law Rules Committee and recently completed a three-year term ending as Chair of the Florida Bar’s Grievance Committee “D.”
