Sarasota, FL – January 31, 2018Greenspoon Marder attorney, Alicia Lewis, to be a featured speaker at the Sarasota County Bar Association CLE Course on January 31st. Ms. Lewis’ topic “Florida Medical Marijuana Law for Estate Planning and Business Lawyers” will cover the current status of the Florida medical marijuana law, how estate planners should incorporate the option for medical marijuana in an advance health care directive; the process for getting licensed to dispense and sell; and opportunities for business clients given federal law.

Ms. Lewis focuses her practice on land use, zoning, environmental and governmental law.  Ms. Lewis successfully represents the most prominent real estate developers in the country before federal, state, regional, and local government agencies to obtain comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning’s, site plan approvals, platting, conditional use approvals, variances, Development of Regional Impact (DRI) amendments, and environmental permitting.
