Newark, N.J. – August 23, 2024 – Greenspoon Marder announces senior counsel Kory Ann Ferro has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Rutgers School of Law–Newark Alumni Association. Trustees serve a perpetually renewed 3-year term and assist on a variety of committees aimed at organizing and facilitating the annual alumni gala, a golf outing, the Weintraub lecture, a mentoring program, and other alumni networking events and similar activities. Ms. Ferro graduated from Rutgers University School of Law with honors in 2013, where she held multiple leadership roles including Managing Editor of the Rutgers Law Review and was a member of the National Mock Trial Competition team.
The Rutgers School of Law–Newark Alumni Association is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and a major resource for the law school, with a mission to strengthen relationships among alumni as well as the alumni and Law School community, and advancing the ideals, reputation, and educational goals of Rutgers Law School.
Ms. Ferro is an attorney in the Litigation practice group at Greenspoon Marder, specializing in complex commercial litigation with a concentration on litigation arising out of business protection needs. She brings extensive experience representing individual and corporate clients in safeguarding their interests. Ms. Ferro’s expertise focuses on restrictive covenants litigation involving non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidential information provisions, as well as handling claims involving unfair competition, unfair business practices, tortious interference, and protection of confidential business information and trade secrets. Ms. Ferro also assists clients in protecting their interests by handling contract breaches and engaging in class action and employment law defense. Her practice includes representation across the country in state court, federal court, and arbitration along with engaging in negotiations both before and after litigation ensues with an aim toward meeting client goals effectively and efficiently.
