Boca Raton, Fla. – January 13, 2025 – Greenspoon Marder attorney Lauren Barkan has been appointed to the Board of Community Servant Leaders, a 501 C 3 non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and empowering youth to become active and engaged members of their communities.
Community Servant Leaders connects young people with meaningful volunteer opportunities that allow them to develop essential skills, gain valuable leadership experience, and cultivate a lifelong commitment to service. The organization focuses on providing youth with the resources and support they need to make a tangible difference in the lives of others and create positive change in their communities. Community Servant Leaders is focused on creating a lasting impact for youth and the communities they serve.
As a member of the firm’s Wills, Trusts and Estates practice group, Ms. Barkan is active in a variety of estate work. She prepares comprehensive estate planning documents, works with and advocates for clients on guardianship matters, and is involved in estate administration. Prior to joining the firm, she served as Chief Counsel for an estate planning software company where she helped launch estate planning software in seven states. She has also worked for a boutique estate planning law firm in Boca Raton. Ms. Barkan has been a featured speaker and published articles related to estate planning. She recently earned an LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law School with distinction.
