GREENSPOON MARDER ATTORNEYS GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY AT THE 100+ WOMEN WHO CARE BROWARD CHAPTER MEETING
FORT LAUDERDALE – September 28, 2016 – Greenspoon Marder attorneys Beth-Ann Krimsky, Dana Somerstein and Chief Financial Officer, Gayla Bella give back to the community as members of 100+ Women Who Care Broward Chapter.
During the Broward Chapter meeting, members nominate local charities to be considered for donation. Beth-Ann Krimsky, President of I Care I Cure Childhood Cancer Foundation, along with two other nominees were chosen from the pool to give a presentation about their charity. After their presentations, members voted by secret ballot and I Care I Cure was chosen as the winning charity to receive a $10,000 grant from 100+ Women Who Care ($100 x 100 women).
100+ Women Who Care was started in 2006 as a simple way to quickly raise money for a local charity to be able to help the community. The original 100+ WWC chapter has since grown to more than 200 members and there are now chapters all across the country. The South Florida Chapter was established in 2012, and since then Broward County, Palm Beach, Tequesta/Jupiter, and Miami-Dade County chapters have been established. The rapid growth has allowed the organization to extend their reach to better serve the South Florida community.
The I Care I Cure Childhood Cancer Foundation supports the development of, and raises public awareness about, cutting-edge, targeted therapies for childhood cancer, so that the treatment of childhood cancer will be gentler and more tolerable. Greenspoon Marder is proud to sponsor and actively participate in this foundation as so many of our attorneys are always there to support their cause.
