LAS VEGAS, NV – April 21, 2017 – Greenspoon Marder attorneys Neal Gidvani and Phillip Silvestri will be speaking at The Seminar Group’s Medical & Recreational Marijuana Seminar. Mr. Gidvani is Program co-chair of the event, presenting the event’s introduction and overview. Mr. Silvestri will be speaking on “Changes in Policy and Federal Law Updates”. The event will be held at The LINQ, Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, July 28, 2017.
The CLE-credit seminar will cover topics directly relevant to Nevada’s cannabis industry, including legislative updates, taxation, changes in policy, products liability, government relations and views from the legislature, land use and licensing issues, regulation of retail marijuana establishments, as well as ethical considerations. Attendees will hear directly from leading practitioners and experts about developments to federal, state and local cannabis law including the recent cannabis legislation adopted by the Nevada Legislature in the 79th (2017) session, changes to rules of professional conduct for attorneys and projections for what the industry can expect next.
Mr. Gidvani’s practice includes working with state and local officials representing businesses related to the cannabis industry. Additionally, he helps structure business transactions for cannabis related entities and maintains relationships in order to ensure compliance with the complex regulatory framework governing recreational and medical marijuana businesses.
Mr. Silvestri’s practice includes representing businesses in the cannabis industry, advising both licensed growers, processors and retailers of medical and recreational marijuana. He helps clients structure their business organization, transactions and relationships in order to maintain compliance with the complex regulatory framework governing marijuana businesses.
