Fort Lauderdale, FL – February 26, 2019 – Greenspoon Marder is proud to host the Kahner Global 2^nd Annual Cannabis Private Investment Summit on February 26^th at the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. The event will bring together family offices and ultra-high net worth investors with cannabis entrepreneurs to discuss the latest investment opportunities and regulatory risks/ changes expected in 2019.

Greenspoon Marder senior counsel, Matthew Ginder, will be moderating the “Overview of the Legal Marijuana Industry” panel at 10:00 AM which will discuss banking and compliance in relation to the cannabis sector. Additionally, partner Sander Zagzebski will be a featured speaker for the “Why Cannabis Investors Are Seeking International Opportunities” panel at 4:30 PM. Other hot topics include extraction and manufacturing, athletes and cannabis, health and wellness and investment 101 for family offices. Additionally, six companies will pitch their cannabis businesses to an esteemed group of judges, with a winner announced at the end.

Former NHL Enforcer and Founder of BodyCheck Wellness, Riley Cote, will join the event as the keynote speaker. Upon retiring from the NHL, Mr. Cote founded the Hemp Heals Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes cannabis/hemp as viable renewable resource that can help increase the quality of lives of all people.
