Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – July 22, 2015 – Greenspoon Marder Law shareholder, Rebecca Bratter, has been selected by The Daily Business Review for inclusion in the 2015 On the Rise, 40 Under 40 listing. This recognition honors the Rising Stars of South Florida’s legal profession that exemplify the next generation of leaders within the industry.
Bratter is a shareholder in the firm’s Litigation group, where she focuses her practice on class action defense, commercial & civil litigation, labor & employment law, and corporate securities. She assists clients with litigation involving highly regulated industries including healthcare, consumer finance and debt settlement, and defends against federal and state government investigations relating to hospitality and timeshare. She serves as the Practice Group Chair for the firm’s Banking & Finance Litigation group. Rebecca also serves as Litigation Manager and is a member of the firm’s Management Committee.
Within the past year, Bratter was named Managing Shareholder of the firm’s Business Development group, where she assists attorneys in furthering their business efforts and expanding upon their existing clientele.
Actively involved in the community, Bratter serves on the Board of Directors of the Young at Art Museum, where she strives to champion the importance of art in children’s lives, regardless of their physical, developmental or financial capabilities. She routinely works with ArtREACH, a nationally awarded after-school art and academic enrichment program for homeless children in Broward emergency and transitional shelters. Rebecca is a member of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, the Broward County Women Lawyer’s Association and the Broward County Bar Association. She was previously a member of the Board of Directors for March of Dimes of Broward County, and was an Executive Board Member for the United Jewish Community of Broward County, Young Leaders Division.
Bratter is the Founder of Kids Can, a charitable organization that empowers children ages 3-9 to give back to the community and enrich the lives of children less fortunate than themselves. Since its inception, Kids Can has distributed over $10,000 in scholarships in the tri-county area and has volunteered with over 5,000 children.
Bratter has been named a Florida Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine in General Litigation, 2009-2014.
