Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – May 10, 2015 – The Greenspoon Marder Foundation launches its new Community Arts Partnership (CAP) by hosting its first-ever Art Exhibition & Reception honoring 10 South Florida artistic, cultural, educational and memorial organizations.
This first-ever event will feature artwork, in many forms of medium, lining the walls across four floors of the law firm’s Fort Lauderdale offices. Most of the art work will be for sale, with 100% of the proceeds going to the respective non-profit organizations. The event will be held Tuesday, May 12, from 5:30-8:00pm at the Fort Lauderdale offices of Greenspoon Marder Law (200 East Broward Boulevard, 18th Floor, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301).
Community Art Partners include Young At Art Museum, Here’s Help, Inc., ARC Broward, Casa Valentina, Dan Marino Foundation, Ann Storck Center, The Zen Tov Project, Life Quest Foundation, The Fund 4 Design & Art Education, and 2Lives – Steven Joel Sotloff Memorial Foundation. 2Lives – the Steven Joel Sotloff Memorial Foundation will unveil a new memorial piece of art created in honor of the South Florida native and American-Israeli journalist who was kidnapped and later beheaded by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) while on assignment in Aleppo, Syria.
“This memorial artwork assures that the world never forgets Steven and that the professionalism, determination and strength of this extraordinary young journalist will continue to touch the lives of others for generations to come,” stated Gerald Greenspoon, Co-Managing Director of Greenspoon Marder Law. “South Florida has a robust and truly generous arts, education and cultural community, and we’re pleased to support the great work these organizations do for all of us.”
Greenspoon Marder Foundation’s Community Arts Partnership (CAP) seeks to develop long-term partnerships, raise awareness and generate funding for the arts in our local communities. CAP supports artistic expression through all avenues of art and works to advocate the primal essence of art for individuals in need, dissolve the barriers of communication and unite the community as a whole.
