Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – July 28, 2015 – Christina Guzman joins Greenspoon Marder Law’s Downtown Fort Lauderdale office as an associate in the Litigation practice group.
Christina focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation. Her experience includes commercial law and litigation with an emphasis in the financial services industry; licensing and regulation of banks, remittance forwarders, and other money services businesses; and transactions on behalf of financial institutions relating to asset-based lending.
Christina graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was elected editor-in-chief of the University of Miami Business Law Review, served as a member of the University of Miami Black Law Review, and was a recipient of the Paul B. Anton Scholarship. She received the Thomas Ewald Memorial Award, which is given to the top student in the Litigation skills program who best exemplifies devotion to high standards as well as ethical conduct. After her first year of law school, she interned with the Honorable Linda A. Wells of the Third Court of Appeal.
Christina earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from the University of Miami with a triple major in print journalism, philosophy, and German, and was an award-winning, four-year member of the University of Miami Debate Team. She received the awards for Most Outstanding Senior in Print Journalism, the Ramon M. Lemos Award for Outstanding Senior in Philosophy, and the Machler German Language Scholarship.
