Fort Lauderdale, Fl. – September 1, 2015 – Former Florida State Senator Steve Geller, a shareholder at Greenspoon Marder Law, was honored at the Broward County American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations’ (AFL-CIO) annual Labor Ball for his “steadfast commitment in service to the people of Broward County.” The AFL-CIO is the umbrella federation for U.S. unions and works to enhance working conditions for members of the workforce by promoting fair wages and benefits, safe work environments and equal opportunities. Geller, who was a member of the Florida Legislature for 20 years where he served as the Minority Leader of the Florida Senate, was previously awarded Legislator of the Year by the Florida AFL-CIO.
Furthering his commitment to the community, Geller recently announced that he will be running in the upcoming election for County Commission. A resident of Cooper City, Geller will be vying to represent District Five of Broward County.
