Miami, Fla. – November 18, 2022 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that Dade Legal Aid (“DLA”) has presented their Pro Bono Service Award to a select number of recipients, including our own partner and co-chair of the International Wealth and Asset Planning practice group, Carl H. Linder. The award is presented in recognition of Mr. Linder’s outstanding commitment, dedication, and service to the less fortunate.
Legal Aid was established in 1939 as a Committee of the Dade County Bar Association to provide legal services to impoverished residents in need who could not otherwise afford them. Since 1949, DLA has been passionately committed to providing “Access to Justice” to residents in dire need of legal representation without means to hire their own attorney. Currently, the organization provides free civil legal services for low-income children, foster youth, individuals and families in need in Miami-Dade County. Each year, DLA assists thousands of clients involved in very contentious and emotional in legal disputes, positively impacting the lives of over 10,000 residents annually. Dedicated Staff Attorneys and Pro Bono Volunteer Attorneys provide life-changing, and often life-saving services in various areas of the law.
Mr. Linder has advised individual, family office and business clients regarding global and domestic estate and gift taxes, corporate taxes, international taxes and state and local taxes. Mr. Linder also drafts wills, trust agreements (domestic and international asset protection trusts, life insurance trusts, revocable and irrevocable Trusts), family limited partnerships and LLC’s and all other estate planning documents including health care directives and durable powers of attorney. Previously, Mr. Linder has taken multiple leadership roles in his community, including having sat on the Board of Generation Hope; the Nat King Cole Foundation; and on the ChildNet Board.
