Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – October 14, 2022 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that partner Dana Somerstein has been appointed to the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law’s Law Alumni Council (“LAC”) Board. Ms. Somerstein’s first five-year term will run from 2022 until 2027.
The LAC was founded nearly forty-years ago in 1983. In its present role of supporting UF Law, the Council concentrates on three strategic objectives, including alumni relations, campus outreach, and membership. The University of Florida’s Levin College of Law currently ranks sixth best among public law schools, twenty-first among all schools in the nation, and number one in Florida.
Ms. Somerstein is a partner with Greenspoon Marder’s Real Estate and Banking & Finance practice groups, representing clients in a wide range of real estate transactions, including counseling developers and lenders on the acquisition, sale, financing and leasing of both commercial and residential properties. She has experience working throughout the United States closing transactions involving retail, mixed-use, multi-family, hotel, office, warehouse, condominium, automobile dealership and self-storage. Ms. Somerstein is a proud Gator alumna, having attended the University of Florida for her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2010, followed by her Juris Doctor degree in 2013.
