Miami – January 12, 2023 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that partner Manuel L. Crespo has been appointed to the Past President Advisory Committee of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) by their President, Giselle Gutierrez. Mr. Crespo has held several positions over the last several years including serving as President of CABA in 2015. He also formerly served as member of their Board of Directors, and a member of their 45th Anniversary GALA Committee.
CABA is a non-profit voluntary bar association founded in 1974 by lawyers of Cuban descent. CABA’s members include judges, lawyers, and law students of all backgrounds interested in issues affecting the Cuban community, as well as broader legal and human rights issues impacting minority communities as a whole.
Mr. Crespo concentrates his practice in real estate and commercial transactions, including title insurance, condominium development and the conversion from existing rental unit buildings to condominium ownership. He has litigated real property disputes, contract and title disputes, construction, landlord-tenant, foreclosures, and other real estate matters. In addition to the practice of law, Mr. Crespo has made a significant and continuing contribution to the community. He has served on several business and charitable boards and supported initiatives benefitting individuals in underserved communities in the Miami-Dade area, including Greenspoon Marder’s Project New Leaf Expungement and Community Workshop.
