Greenspoon Marder Partner Morris G. “Skip” Miller Recipient of Non-Profit Advocacy Award Presented by 15th Circuit Pro Bono Committee

West Palm Beach, Fla. – March 22, 2023 – Greenspoon Marder partner Morris G. “Skip” Miller received the Non-Profit Advocacy Award presented by the 15^th Circuit Pro Bono Committee at the Third Annual Pro Bono Awards Ceremony and Ice Cream Social. The event took place in the ceremonial courtroom at the Palm Beach County Courthouse with over 100 guests, including over 20 judges in attendance. Attorneys in the community were honored at the event for providing substantial pro bono legal services through the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County over the past year. The ceremony awards pins to attorneys based on their hours of service.

Established over 10 years ago, the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee, made up of over 20 local voluntary bar leaders, is one of 25 circuit committees around the State of Florida. The Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Administrative Order establishes the Circuit Pro Bono Committee’s goals, some of which are: To prepare and approve the Circuit Committee report of yearly legal aid activities sent to the Florida Supreme Court; to ensure each voluntary bar association spearheads one annual pro bono initiative or project; to disseminate announcements to local voluntary bar associations regarding Pro Bono trainings, events and services; and to assist in the planning and support of Pro Bono Night.

Morris G. “Skip” Miller focuses on public finance and representation of non-profit entities. He has extensive experience in municipal finance transactions of all types, including taxable bonds, bond issues for not-for-profit organizations (particularly educational institutions), mini bonds, community redevelopment financing, special taxing districts, single- and multi-family housing revenue bonds and lease financing. Mr. Miller’s clientele in municipal finance transactions include issuers, underwriters, lenders, not-for-profit and for-profit borrowers and trustees.
