Miami, FL – November 21, 2019 – Greenspoon Marder is proud to partner with Young Musicians Unite (YMU). The firm will match up to $10,000 in donations collected by YMU during the Give Miami Day on November 21st. Led by the Chair of Greenspoon Marder’s Entertainment, Media and Technology practice group, Leslie José Zigel, the firm looks to continue our annual support of YMU and music education in general.
YMU, a non-profit founded in 2013, offers a platform for young musicians in the inner city communities of Miami to unite and reinforce the importance of music education. By collaborating with schools that have limited or no music programs, YMU addresses the music education concerns in the most underserved communities by partnering with highly regarded educators to offer comprehensive free music programming.
Music is what ultimately drew Mr. Zigel to both his chosen profession as well as his passion project—jamming with his South Florida-based Grateful Dead cover band, Spiral Light, and other musician friends. Mr. Zigel focuses his practice on both the creative and business sides of the entertainment industries in the music, television, film and new technology sectors. He represents artists, media companies, and executives, his current clients include numerous international pop musicians such as Pitbull, Wisin, Carlos Vives, The Wailers and Maffio, and business clients Endemol Shine Latino, Rich Music and DJCity , to name a few.
