The seminar will explore the legal implications for foreign companies and high net worth individuals living and working in the U.S., including immigration, tax, and corporate structuring. Partners Marcela Bermudez, Patricia Gannon, Carl Linder, and Olga Vieira, and Of Counsel Francis Suarez, will be featured speakers at the seminar.
Marcela Bermudez is Partner in Greenspoon Marder’s Immigration and Naturalization practice group. Ms. Bermudez focuses her practice on business immigration. She represents multinational companies, as well as individual clients, in connection with a variety of employment-based immigration, non-immigrant matters, I-9 issues, and family-based benefits.
Patricia L. Gannon is a partner in Greenspoon Marder’s Immigration and Naturalization practice group and serves on Management Committee at Greenspoon Marder. Ms. Gannon focuses her practice on business immigration. She advises multi-nationals on employment verification matters and develops various compliance strategies and programs. Ms. Gannon, as a member of the Foreign American Counsel, concentrates her international practice on global immigration and provides outbound assistance to foreign companies.
Carl H. Linder is a partner and Co-Chair of the International Wealth and Asset Planning Group at Greenspoon Marder. Mr. Linder has advised individual and business clients regarding corporate tax, international tax, estate and gift tax and state and local taxes. Mr. Linder works closely with financial institutions and other service providers in but not limited to New Zealand, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Andorra, Bahamas, Nevis, Cayman Islands, St. Lucia, and Anguilla.
Olga Vieira is a partner in the Litigation practice group at Greenspoon Marder. Ms. Vieira has extensive experience in extended trials, including serving as first chair and working with other trial counsel on legal issues to avoid errors or preserve the record for appeal. Ms. Vieira’s practice focuses on product liability, catastrophic injury, and commercial litigation.
Francis X. Suarez is of counsel in the Corporate and Business practice group at Greenspoon Marder. Mr. Suarez has more than 13 years of experience in real estate and corporate finance, covering the gamut of clients’ real estate needs, from acquisitions and financing to sales and joint ventures. He also has served as outside general counsel to a variety of companies.
