WINS CITY COMMISSION APPROVAL FOR HOYER HOMES
Fort Lauderdale, FL – October 6, 2017 – Greenspoon Marder shareholder and Chair of the firm’s Land Use & Zoning practice group, Dennis D. Mele, wins City Commission approval for Hoyer Homes. Overcoming strong community opposition, the approval will allow Hoyer Homes to build over 400 new homes on the Crystal Lake golf course.
Developer, Hoyer Homes at Crystal Lake, has committed to building an emergency medical services station on the property for Deerfield Beach fire department, improving the response times in the community. “Our client has been very responsive to the community,” Mr. Mele said in a statement to the Sun Sentinel. Additionally, the developer will reserve 4.5 acres for community recreation and open space.
Mr. Mele is widely recognized for his work in land use, zoning, environmental and governmental law. Having experience as a land planner and a city manager, he has a unique understanding of the myriad issues developers, property owners and local governments face.
