GREENSPOON MARDER SHAREHOLDER JEFFREY BACKMAN CHOSEN TO BE A FEATURED SPEAKER AT ALFN ANSWERS 2016 CONFERENCE
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – July 18, 2016 – Greenspoon Marder shareholder Jeffrey Backman will be a featured speaker at this week’s American Legal & Financial Network ANSWERS 2016 Conference. Backman will be moderating a panel that will discuss current legal and compliance issues in the area of consumer collections. The group of panelist will covers what can be learned from existing CFPB Consent Orders, current risks, what’s new with the TCPA, and several other topics relating to consumer collections.
Now in its 14th year, the ALFN Annual Leadership Conference is an invitation-only mortgage servicing and regulatory compliance event. ANSWERS brings together over 300 mortgage banking professionals. The conference attracts executives from mortgage servicers, government-sponsored enterprises, national banking institutions as well as the ALFN’s leading network of attorneys, trustees, and industry service providers. Backman focuses his practice on complex class action defense and general commercial litigation. He has defended clients in federal courts throughout the country, and is at the forefront of the legal landscape involving the telemarketing industry. In addition to his busy practice, he was recently appointed to the Southeast Chapter Board of Directors of the Professional Association for Customer Engagement (PACE), the only non-profit trade organization dedicated exclusively to the advancement of companies that use a multi-channel approach to engaging their customers.
