GREENSPOON MARDER SHAREHOLDER JOSEPH GELLER CHOSEN AS RECIPIENT OF THE FLORIDA LEAGUE OF CITIES LEGISLATIVE APPRECIATION AWARD
Fort Lauderdale, FL – June 20, 2017 – Greenspoon Marder shareholder, Joseph Geller, has been chosen as a recipient of the Florida League of Cities’ Legislative Appreciation Award for 2017. Mr. Geller was selected due to his strong support of municipal home rule on several key issues considered by the Legislature this year. He has worked closely with the League’s advocacy team to ensure municipal interests were protected.
The Florida League of Cities is the united voice for Florida’s municipal governments. Its goals are to serve the needs of Florida’s cities and promote local self-government. The League is the premier provider of many products and services developed especially for Florida’s cities.
Mr. Geller focuses his practice on civil litigation, land use and zoning, election law, government relations and municipal law. He has extensive litigation experience in both the Florida and federal courts. Mr. Geller was elected to the State House of Representatives, District 100, representing parts of Northeast Dade and Southeast Broward in November 2014, and was reelected without opposition in November 2016. He previously served two terms as Mayor of the City of North Bay Village, Florida.
