GREENSPOON MARDER SHAREHOLDER MANUEL L. CRESPO APPOINTED AS CHAIR OF THE FLORIDA BAR’S GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE 11 “C”
Miami, FL – June 21, 2017 – Greenspoon Marder shareholder Manuel L. Crespo has been appointed Chair of Eleventh Circuit Grievance Committee “C,” a committee overseen by The Florida Bar. Grievance committees are made up of volunteer members, at least one-third of whom are not lawyers. Each of Florida’s 20 judicial circuits has at least one such committee.
The Florida Bar’s Grievance Committee reviews complaints with much the same purpose as a grand jury. That is, the committee decides, after a case is submitted to them by bar counsel, whether there is probable cause to believe a lawyer violated the professional conduct rules imposed by the Supreme Court of Florida and whether discipline against the lawyer appears to be warranted.
Mr. Crespo has concentrated his practice in real estate and commercial transactions, including title insurance, condominium development and the conversion from existing rental unit buildings to condominium ownership. He has litigated real property disputes, contract and title disputes, construction, landlord-tenant, foreclosures, and other real estate matters. His institutional clients have included national banks and real estate developers.
