Robby H. Birnbaum, Partner-In-Charge of the Regulatory Compliance practice group at Greenspoon Marder, was elected President of the National Association of Credit Service Organizations (NACSO). The group is the largest industry association in the United States for credit service organizations and its supporting vendors.
Mr. Birnbaum coordinates Greenspoon Marder’s Regulatory Compliance division that serves over 500 companies across the United States and internationally. The division focuses on providing proactive compliance solutions for businesses that advertise and sell financial and other services to consumers. Mr. Birnbaum represents companies in front of all divisions of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), along with all states’ attorney’s general offices and state banking and insurance departments. Recently, Mr. Birnbaum settled two major investigations and lawsuits brought by the CFPB and has resolved thousands of FTC and AG matters without the need for expensive or protracted litigation.
Mr. Birnbaum is admitted to the state Bars of Florida and Wisconsin, along with holding various federal court admissions. He serves as the elected President of the American Fair Credit Council, Association for Student Loan Relief, and as an appointed auditor for the Vehicle Protection Association. All of these industry associations are dedicated to consumer protection through fair marketing and sales practices. Mr. Birnbaum received his Juris Doctorate and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a resident of Boca Raton, Florida.
