GREENSPOON MARDER SUPPORTS BUNCHY’S 21ST ANNUAL TOY DRIVE
Miami, FL – December 22, 2017 – Greenspoon Marder is proud to support Bunchy’s 21st Annual Toy Drive. The firm donated gifts to 50 children from over 25 families. In partnership with Our Kids of Miami-Dade/Monroe, Inc, Bunchy has provided holiday joy to thousands of foster children and youth transitioning out of the system. With the help of her volunteer “elves,” Bunchy collects, wraps, and distributes presents to nearly 3,700 children and youth in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties foster care system every year.
Our Kids is the lead community-based care agency tasked by the State of Florida to care for every child in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties who is referred for services by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) due to abuse, abandonment, and neglect. Their mission is to develop and deliver a coordinated system of care that keeps children safely in their homes, reunifies children with their parents, and achieves permanency for children with relatives or through adoption.
Through Bunchy’s efforts and the support of donors, every child in care, between the ages 0-17 years old, receives a special gift for the holidays. Bunchy also makes sure that young adults who are exiting the foster system receive a special gift to prepare them for independent living: the Good Housekeeping gift includes basic necessities for their first apartments.
