GREENSPOON MARDER SUPPORTS CANNATECH 2017 IN ISRAEL
Fort Lauderdale, FL – March 9, 2017 – Greenspoon Marder is set to sponsor and speak at the CannaTech 2017 conference taking place in Tel Aviv on March 20-22nd. CannaTech 2017 is the largest international conference of its type bringing together technology, research and development, education and entrepreneurs for a three-day immersive experience.
“The firm chose to sponsor this conference because of the dedication we have made to the national and international cannabis movement,” says Amy Margolis, shareholder and part of the national cannabis practice group from Portland, Oregon. “As part of this dedication, we are also committed to supporting the significant work being done to advance medical research by our international partners. We are looking forward to visiting cultivation and research facilities to greater understand the work being done”
As the cannabis movement gains traction in the United States, we are seeing the same trend internationally. Germany, Israel, Columbia and many more countries are moving to embrace the medical benefits that cannabis has to offer as well as gearing up for international distribution.
Greenspoon Marder, with its broad bench of attorneys who have both national and international cannabis experience, is thrilled to expand its support to the worldwide marketplace. The presenting attorneys will be discussing the rapidly expanding number of countries engaging in some type of cannabis commerce as well as how they expect they expect those countries to interact with each other as international laws and treaties are modernized.
“By being the first national firm to build a large cannabis practice with holistic representation, we are ready to do a deep dive with our international partners at this conference and see where Greenspoon Marder can provide the most support. Part of what makes the conference, and Israel, so exciting is their emphasis on medical advancement in the cannabis sector,” says Gerald Greenspoon, founder and co-managing director of Greenspoon Marder.
Greenspoon Marder has been the first firm among the Am Law 200 or above to launch a practice of this focus with a team central to the advancements, legalization and regulation of cannabis including medical marijuana, hemp, and Cannabidiol (CBD) across the U.S. Greenspoon Marder’s substantial expertise in representing clients in regulated industries has allowed it to be one of the first firms of its size with a dedicated team of attorneys.
