GREENSPOON MARDER SUPPORTS COASTAL CONSERVATION ASSOCIATION
Orlando, FL – December 6, 2017 – Greenspoon Marder is proud to sponsor and support the Coastal Conservation Association’s 2nd Annual Lake Mary Banquet and Auction. The event will take place at South East Ramp of the Sanford airport in Sanford, Florida on Thursday, December 7 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Greenspoon Marder shareholder, Mark J. Chmielarski, is Treasurer of the Lake Mary chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA), and has been a member of the CCA since 2009.
The CCA is a non-profit organization with 17 coastal state chapters spanning the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic seaboard, and the Pacific Northwest, advising and educating the public on conservation of marine resources, lobbying for the public interests, and protecting our marine fishery resources through volunteer programs. The CCA’s major accomplishments in Florida include leading the way to pass the Florida constitutional amendment in 1994 to ban commercial net fishing along our coastlines, and in 2015 successfully intervened in a lawsuit that attempted to overturn this constitutional amendment. CCA’s volunteer programs include working with students to restore and preserve reefs, create artificial reefs, and create and install artficial oyster beds along our coastlines throughout Florida.
