GREENSPOON MARDER SUPPORTS THE CULTIVATION CLASSIC 2017 IN PORTLAND
PORTLAND – May 12, 2017 – Greenspoon Marder is proud to support the Cultivation Classic 2017, Oregon’s only competition exclusively for OMRI or OMRI-equivalent flower produced in the state without pesticides. The firm is the presenting sponsor of the “Official Cultivation Classic Welcome Reception” on May 11th. In addition, Greenspoon Marder shareholder Amy Margolis will be a featured speaker at the event.
In April 2016, Willamette Week produced an inaugural cannabis celebration for Oregon growers using regenerative approach – that means no mineral salts or synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. After 100 unique strains were judged by a panel of 60 regional tastemakers, the community came together for a sold-out, day-long event with 30+ vendor booths, world-class speakers, food, beer and an awards ceremony. Now in its second year, over 700 guests are expected to attend this historic event, placing Oregon on the national and international map as the premiere producer of ethically grown, outstanding cannabis.
Ms. Margolis focuses her practice on licensing, compliance and regulatory work in the cannabis industry, as well as continuing to represent clients charged with crimes in either state or federal court. She is also directly involved with the state’s policy discussion around implementation of medical and recreational cannabis and she has been tapped to serve on a number of rulemaking committees. In addition, she is the founder and director of the Oregon Cannabis PAC and the Oregon Cannabis Association, which is the largest professional cannabis association in the state of Oregon.
