Mr. Mann will speak on the “Navigating the Regulatory, Compliance & Tax Landscape” panel where he will discuss how to make sense of conflicting laws in order to make more informed decisions about potential investments in the cannabis space.
Mr. Lenn has practiced law for almost 40 years, serving in both senior corporate and law firm management positions, counseling clients on business as well as legal issues. Over the past three and a half years, in addition to continuing in a “conventional” corporate, transactional and corporate finance practice, he has been engaged in cannabis industry merger, acquisition and finance transactions involving more than $1 billion, many with multi-state and/or international components.
Mr. Mann has over 25 years of experience serving as a trusted advisor to a broad range of stakeholders in the energy and financial services industries. He counsels clients on the new changes in the tax law, as well as cannabis tax issues. Mr. Mann advises financial institutions regarding international tax, structuring renewable energy asset-based bank loans and securitizations, cross-border tax-advantaged partnerships and securitizations, project finance, and renewable energy deals.
