Greenspoon Marder Welcomes Ben Gelt as a Consultant to the Firm’s Cannabis Law Practice Group

Denver, Colo., – August 25, 2022 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to welcome Ben Gelt as a consultant to the firm’s Cannabis Law practice group. Mr. Gelt is a seasoned businessperson and strategist who connects the many regulatory, business, and communications interests in the cannabis industry.

Partner and co-chair of the Cannabis Law Practice Nick Richards, who has worked alongside Mr. Gelt, elaborated on the experience that Mr. Gelt brings to the team. “The cannabis industry requires a depth of resources, and Ben has valuable insights on the complexities of the space. By integrating his extensive knowledge and professional connections with the firm, our practice group will be even better positioned to serve our clients and advise the industry as thought leaders,” says Mr. Richards.

In addition to strategic communications and business development work, Mr. Gelt is the co-founder of the Cannabis Certification Council, a national nonprofit focused on educating both consumers and industry about sustainable and quality practices. Mr. Gelt has also served in several leadership roles, including membership in the Denver Cannabis Industry Stakeholder Committee, the Colorado MED Sustainability, Science and Policy work group, Colorado Energy Office Cannabis Advisory Committee, founding and chairing the City of Denver Cannabis Sustainability Working Group and advising policy makers across North America including in New Jersey, Michigan, Canada, California and beyond.
