Stacey Schulman, an associate in the Litigation Department of Greenspoon Marder’s Cypress Creek office, has been announced as the recipient of the Alumni Leadership Award from the University of Miami School of Law. The award, which will be presented at the University of Miami Judicial Reception in Broward on March 18, 2014, recognizes those individuals that exemplify excellence with regards to their leadership roles throughout the community.
Schulman began her career at the State Attorney’s Office in Broward County, FL, where she prosecuted offenses including sex crimes, homicides, as well as organized crime and gang related matters. After 9 years as a prosecutor, Schulman took her extensive trial and courtroom experience into the civil arena and she currently practices commercial litigation in both the State and Federal Courts of Florida.
Schulman is the National Chair of the Legal Committee for The Jewish Federations of North America, a member of the Board of Directors for The Jewish Federation of Broward County, a long-time volunteer for the South Florida Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and a Ghost Light Society Member for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Schulman also serves as Vice Chair of a Florida Bar Grievance Committee and is a member of the Bench and Bar Committee for the Broward County Bar. Schulman received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, where she graduated first in her class, and she earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
