Ft. Lauderdale, FL – May 17, 2016 – Joseph S. Geller, a shareholder at Greenspoon Marder and an elected Florida State Representative, was recently recognized as one of 18 members of the Florida Legislature awarded as “Champions of Florida’s Middle Class” for 2016 by Progress Florida.
The 18 honorees are lawmakers who voted to protect and expand the state’s middle class during the 2016 legislative session. Legislative issues they championed include expanding access to health care; protecting civil liberties, public safety, and retirement security; stopping fracking; opposing political interference in women’s access to reproductive health care, and standing up for public schools. Geller focuses his practice on civil litigation, administrative law, election law, government relations and municipal law. He has extensive litigation experience in both the Florida and federal courts. Geller was elected to the State House of Representatives, District 100, representing parts of Northeast Dade and Southeast Broward, in November 2014. He is also a former Mayor of North Bay Village. He is one of only two (2) freshman legislators to receive the award from Progress Florida.
