Marla Neufeld, an associate at Greenspoon Marder’s Cypress Creek office, will be heading up the firm’s Surrogacy Law practice group within the Marital & Family Law department.
“We are excited to focus a portion of our practice on building families and assisting those individuals affected by infertility,” said Co-Founding Shareholder Gerald Greenspoon.
Drawing from her own personal journey with infertility and the use of a gestational surrogate, Neufeld will take her transactional law background and combine it with her compassion and understanding of the surrogacy process. She will focus on helping others to start a family using the available third party reproductive technologies and adoption laws in Florida. Legal services offered will include surrogacy representation on behalf of surrogates and those interested in using a surrogate, egg and sperm donation agreements, and some adoption work.
Neufeld is admitted to the Florida Bar, holds a court admission for the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, and is a member of the Broward County Bar Association and the American Bar Association’s Assisted Reproductive Technology Committee. She serves on the Executive Committee for the Ghost Light Society with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and is a volunteer for Broward Partnership for the Homeless. Neufeld was recently selected as a 2014 Rising Star by Lifestyle Media Group. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law (cum laude) and her Bachelor of Arts from the American University.
