Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – August 17, 2023 – Three Greenspoon Marder partners, Dennis D. Mele, Glenn N. Smith, and Mark F. Grant are recipients of The Best Lawyers in America©: “Lawyers of the Year” Awards 2024 Edition. This accolade is awarded to individual lawyers that have received the highest overall peer feedback for both their specific practice area and geographical location. Mr. Mele is recognized for his work in land use and zoning law, while Mr. Smith is recognized for his work in real estate litigation, and Mr. Grant is recognized for his work in community association law. All three attorneys have also been selected among The Best Lawyers in America© 2024 edition for their respective legal work.

Mr. Mele is widely recognized for his work in land use, zoning, environmental and governmental law. Having experience as a land planner and a city manager, Mr. Mele has a unique understanding of the myriad issues developers, property owners, and local governments face; and is able to advise clients on a wide range of complex matters.

Mr. Smith is an experienced trial lawyer concentrating on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts. Much of Mr. Smith’s practice is focused on the representation of clients involved in or related to real estate development.

Mr. Grant is the Florida Bar Board Certified in Real Estate Law and Condominium and Planned Development Law. He concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate acquisition and development, condominium and homeowner association documentation, commercial leasing, acquisitions and sales, loans, and construction contracts.
