With expertise in tax law, cannabis regulation, corporate governance, and business structuring, Ms. Perez is well-versed in managing tax audits, resolving tax debt matters, and advising on strategic corporate transactions. She works with clients across the nation, with a strong presence in Colorado and Florida, helping with both state-specific and federal tax compliance and planning.
Ms. Perez’ legal practice spans a broad array of federal tax matters, including tax planning, audits, IRS representation, and ensuring regulatory compliance for businesses of all sizes. Her knowledge of cannabis law allows her to guide clients in the rapidly evolving legal landscape, especially as it intersects with federal and state tax requirements. A recognized leader in her field, Tatum earned both her J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she was honored as a Tillman Scholar.
